Matthew & Suzi - Salisbury

As a wedding photographer I always find blog entries one of the hardest things to do and this latest one was certainly no exception. How on earth do you sum up a wedding in 8 or so wedding photographs when you can pick at least 300 that are great?! I always sit for hours deliberating, trying to find the right mixture that sums up a beautiful day.

Matthew & Suzi got married at St Mary & St Mellor Church in Amesbury and had their recpetion at The Antrobus Arms. I met Suzi at her parents house in the morning to photograph her getting ready and I captured some wonderful bridal portraits in the garden. The grass was wet that morning we had quite a laugh 'positioning' Suzie on the grass using some lovely plastic sheeting!!

Meeting Matthew and his best man and ushers at the church I'd planned just enough time to capture the mounting nerves and some great portraits of Matthew before Suzi arrived.

Luckily, The Antrobus Arms is just across the road from the church and after leading their guests to there for the champagne reception the three of us (& the videographer) whipped back to the church to capture some gorgeous portraits of the two of them.

After allowing them enough time to mingle with their friends over a glass or two of something bubbly we captured some more pictures in the grounds of the Antrobus before they sat down for their recption. The marquee in the grounds looked amazing & I have never seen so many flowers all in perfect Autumn colours.

After dinner and speeches Matthew, Suzi & their guests danced the night away entertained by Frank Martin Junior and his band.

It was a wonderful day, thank you for letting me share it with you and I hope you have a very long & happy life together.

Suzi had some gorgeous jewellery....

Bridal portraits......thanks to the help of the plastic sheeting....!

Suzie looked amazing thanks to the help of Victoria Fergusson who did her hair & make-up.....

The little details really help to tell the story.....

There is a technique to button holes and after capturing the pictures I need I'm often called on as 'the expert'....!

A handsome Matthew....

I love this picture it has such an almost Edwardian look. I saw the wonderful light on the table when I was looking around the church earlier and made sure I was at the perfect angle to get just the look I wanted.....

Beautiful, relaxed moments like this that show real emotion as well as the more directed shots are a perfect blend....

This destressed building next door to the church made for a wonderful backdrop of a beautiful couple......

Perfect placement....perfect picture.....

This archway actually led onto waste ground but taken at the right angle makes a stunning backdrop....

Flowers....oh the flowers.......

An autumn theme ran throught with lots of attention to the small details......
Matthew and Suzi's very clever friend made them a tower of minature carrot cakes for their wedding cake.....
Frank Martin Junior serenaded the couple......
